What's the difference between your resume writing and editing services?

There are three major differences between the two services in addition to the difference in price.

1. Effort on your part

The resume writing service is 100% hands-off. You just give us an hour or two of your time so we can get all the information we need from you, and we'll do the rest.

The resume editing service comes with my award-winning resume template. I use this template to work on all my clients. It also comes with a 40-minute video guide on phrasing your accomplishments succinctly and finding keywords to put in your resume. It's up to you do the research and put your resume together.

2. ​Turn-around

Once you submit your resume to us for editing, it only takes us a business day to get back to you with an annotated, edited draft.

Our resume writing service, on the other hand, takes us 5 business days to wrap up.

3. Annotations

When you purchase our resume writing services, we annotate your resume to show you how you can tweak it for additional positions.

When you purchase our resume editing service, we annotate your resume to show you exactly what you need to change to make your resume stronger. We'll also fix any grammatical and structural mistakes we see, and shorten lengthy bullets.

Should I focus more on online job applications, or my networking strategy?

You should definitely focus your efforts on your networking strategy. Here are some interesting pieces of information that should get you really fired up about networking:

  • 40% of all hires are employee referrals; companies offer up to $5000 if their employees refer qualified candidates. 
  • Only 7% of applications come in through employee referrals. 
  • Referred applicants have a 3-4 times higher chance of being hired than non-referred applicants.

In other words, while only seven percent of all applicants are referrals, they make up for almost half of all hiring.

Clearly the odds of getting your target job rise dramatically if you can get referred for the position. But in order to do so, you must first find the right people to connect with.

Who will be working with me?

We have an outstanding team of consultants. We'll select your primary consultant based on your industry and your goals. Fatemah and your primary consultant will work together on all your profiles.

Do you work with clients in different countries?

We sure do! Because all of our communication with our clients takes place over the phone, through emails, or via Skype, we can work with you regardless of your location. We've worked with clients in the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa. We'll conduct extensive research on your target companies and prevailing resume standards in your country.
